WEDA Dust Control presented with an innovation star award at SPACE 2019
On 10 September 2019, a festive award ceremony in the area of technological innovations in pig farming took place at SPACE, the leading French trade fair for animal husbandry. In the context of this event, WEDA received an Innov'SPACE Award for the new product “Dust Control”.
Dust Control is an innovative tank ventilation cover that facilitates a reduction of the undesired dust when dosing feed into the liquid feeding systems. In today’s pig feeding, aeration and ventilation of feed tanks is effected via a pipe. As a consequence, middlings dust escapes through the ventilation pipe and can get outside of the tank. With the use of the novel cover, a venting in the feed tank is achieved. As a result, the feed kitchen remains up to ca. 95% dust-free.
