Now, for the first time in the industry, the WEDA Nutrix makes it possible to dose the smallest of quantities of sow milk substitutes, starting with piglet milk via yoghurt all the way to the prestarter. This way, the feeding of the suckling piglets can be perfectly adapted to their growth. Current studies have shown that piglet feeding with the WEDA Nutrix can lead to a weight gain of up to 1 kg per weaned piglet.
The system works with sensor feeding and is modularly expandable, so that an upgrade to up to three mixing tanks is possible. This allows for the use of different feed mixtures. In addition, individual mixing temperatures can be set automatically by the computer. The key feature: maximum hygiene is maintained, as the tried-and-tested cleaning process using acid lye rinsing can also be used with the Nutrix.
The newly developed double troughs with grid ensure constant social contact of the piglets between two pens. Due to the grids, the troughs are extremely bright and are therefore quickly accepted by the animals.
The regular, sufficient and, above all, hygienic provision of sow milk substitutes up to the prestarter ensures healthy and faster growth of the piglets and, at the same time, relieves the mother sow, especially in case of large litters. By taking it easy on the sow, it therefore also regains a good condition more quickly after weaning the piglets. In addition, the use of the system, especially in sow farms, leads to a considerable reduction in workload when managing large litters, as it works fully automatically, on the one hand, and can additionally be controlled remotely, on the other. In addition, the system can be easily controlled and operated via touch panel.
